Which RIT you need will depend on how severe the condition is and how much time you have for treatment.
For occasional, mild to moderately severe pain conditions, Dextrose Prolotherapy is the usual first choice. Done every other week for 4-6 sessions [sometimes 8-10 for more severe cases], Prolotherapy may be all that the patient needs to heal injured muscle, tendon, ligament or cartilage.
For more severe and chronic conditions, and when the patient has just a few days or weeks to spend for injections, I suggest Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and/or Stem Cell Therapy.
PRP is now a popular injection treatment because sports heroes like Kobe Bryant and Tiger Woods and entertainment stars like Kim Kardashian underwent PRP treatments years ago. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is now a common procedure not only with Orthopaedics, but with Aesthetic and Derma specialties.
Which reminds me of a nice Chinese proverb [from www.quotegarden.com]: "When the winds of change blow, some build walls and others build windmills."
Those of us who have embraced Regenerative Injection Therapies "have built windmills."
